A nice little perch on our ascent route
Access - Private from all sides. Route - Bushwhack from all directions. Summit - Wooded, not much for views. Quad - Mt. Marcy. Mountain Range - No specific range. Lets say the Boreas Mountain Wilderness. Winter Access - Yes, same as non-winter access. The initial walk along the road may be packed or even plowed, but the bushwhack will be unbroken. Ton of snow in this area, be prepared. Misc. - This peak is a private mountain and approach. Please get permission before you enter the property. There is a ton of Moose activity in this area.There is a very good chance you could spot one. We just missed one by what looked like minutes, looking at the freshness of the tracks. The summit is on Elk Lake property, which is a nice approach. You must get permission or be a guest of the lodge to climb it. If you approach via leased land, you also need their permission to cross.
