Descending South Dix toward Macomb
Access - State Land From N, S, E, W. Route - Herdpath from Hough, Macomb, and East Dix. Summit - Open summit, very nice views. Quad - Mount Marcy. Mountain Range - Dix Mountain Range. Winter Access - Yes, same as non-winter access. However a new route is being used for a quicker approach to South Dix. Via the Bouquet River. Misc. - This peak is named such because it's the southern most unnamed high peak in the Dix Range. However that may all change real soon. The 46rs have a commitee dedicated to changing its name to Carson Peak.
