Access - State Land from N, S, E, W. Route - Trail from the East. Summit - Wooded, some views from the ground. Fire tower on summit has great views. Quad - Page Mountain. Mountain Range - No specific Range. Well South of Panther Mountain Wilderness. Winter Access - Yes, same as non-winter access. A large section of the road is closed in winter months as a seasonal highway. It is gated off as well during this time of year. With that being said, it doesn't get climbed that much in winter-except for the hardcore hikers.
Misc. -
This summit is also part of the Firetower Challenge. It's a great hike for children as well. An excellent choice to leave as a last peak. The road past Sled Harbour is a 4x4 drive only-high clearance a must. The road is in terrible shape, and doesn't add alot to the hike.
