Access - State Land from N, S, E, W. Route - Herdpath from Heart Lake, slide climb from Northville/Placid Trail. Summit - Wooded, no views. Quad - Ampersand Lake. Mountain Range - No specific range. NW of the MacIntyres. Winter Access - Yes, same as non-winter access. Indian Pass Brook can be hard to cross in winter if conditions are wet and the brook isn't fully frozen. Misc. - Nye is named after William Nye, the guide famous for Hitch-up-Matilda. Nye is another peak less than 4000', but remains on the original 46r list.
