Bartlett Pond along the SOA Trail to McKenzie
Access - State Land from N,S,W. SOA land from E. Route - Trail from rte 86, SOA Trail, State trail from Whiteface Inn Road. Summit - Open summit, with nice views. Quad - Saranac Lake. Mountain Range - McKenzie Mountain Wilderness. Winter Access - Yes, same as non-winter access. Most common approach is from rte 86. However it's also common that all three trails can be broken. Misc. - McKenzie is a large ridge with numerous bumps along it. The actual summit is the furthest N. Be sure to get the correct one, it's easy to mistake the top with the previous top.
