Access - State Land from N,S,E,W.
Route - Herd path from Preston Ponds and Wallface Ponds. Bushwhack via 2 different outlets.
Summit - Very small. Nice views.
Quad - Ampersand Lake.
Mountain Range - No specific range. Near MacIntyre Range.
Winter Access - Yes, same as non-winter access. Most use Preston Ponds Route. Look for that route to be broken in before the others. Alot of snow builds up in this area, don't be surprised to have all routes covered in by nightly snowfall.
Misc. - This peak is actually a 4000' peak, however it wasn't discovered as such until the 46r list was made-leaving it from the original list. This is possibly the most popular peak among 46r finishers, being the height it is and such. Named after James MacNaughton a grandson of the head person of the local Iron Works at the time.
