Access - State Land from N,S,E,W.
Route - Bushwhack from Averill peak. State Trail from Chazy Lake.
Summit - Fully open, 360 degree views, firetower.
Quad - Moffitsville and Lyon Mountain.
Mountain Range - Lyon Mountain Range.
Winter Access - Yes, same as non-winter access. In winter you will have to walk the access road to the start of the trail. This mountain is hiked alot, chances are it will have a good hiking base.
Misc. - Lyon is also a Firetower Challenge Peak for those listers. Very challenging trail to the summit. This peak has an International view, with O'Canada being a stones throw away.
