Access - State Land from S,E,W. Private land to the N. Route - Bushwhack from all sides. Summit - Wooded, no views. Quad - Indian Lake. Mountain Range - No specific range. South of Panther Mountain Wilderness. Winter Access - Yes, same as non-winter access. Expect to break trail all the way from road. Even along state trail section.
Misc. -
Lewey has a really nice horseshoe shaped ridge making for a very nice loop trip. Expect to see a ton of moose activity, maybe even a rare and elusive Adirondack Moose itself. The state trail section from Lewey Lake Campground gets very light usage, and in spots is overgrown-keep a keen eye out for sharp turns in the trail, as well as a downed tree or two.
