Access - State Land From N,S,E,W. Route - Herdpaths from Dix and South Dix. Summit - Wooded with lookout. Quad - Mount Marcy. Mountain Range - Dix Mountain Range. Winter Access - Yes, same as non-winter access. Very long strenuous climb in the winter. Commonly used approach for winter is via West Mill Brook from the SE. More often than not it's unbroken from low winter traffic. Misc. - Lillian Brook offers another approach to the ridge near Hough, but is littered with blowdown and can be very hard to follow, especially the lower reaches. Named after Franklin Hough, an Adirondack Conservationist. Topomap
