Along the Southern Ridge
Access - State Land from S,E,W. Private from the N. Route - Bushwhack from all sides. Summit - Wooded, no views. Quad - Blue Ridge. Mountain Range - Hoffman Mountain Range. Winter Access - Yes, same as non-winter access. Southern ridge used the most. However, you'll still need to break your own trail-unless lady luck is on your side. Misc. - This peak is often done with Blue Ridge, another of the 100 highest. But it's a nasty walk between the two, unforgiving. The southern Ridge is definitely the best approach, don't let the long distance scare you. Topomap
