Climbing the Gothics cable route
Access - State Land from N,S,W. E is through AMR property. Route - 3 trails with other variations possible. Bushwhack route from the Northface via slide or technical climb. Summit - Open rocky top, awesome views. Quad - Keene Valley. Mountain Range - Great Range. Winter Access - Yes, same as non-winter access. Very well packed through most of winter along the Range Trail. But an approach from the AMR can prove to be used less. Misc. - Was named by Old Man Phelps by its characteristics. They thought it had a Gothic architectural look to it. The route from the S via Ore Brook is the sight of the famous Gothic Cable Route. Topomap
