#84 - Gore Mt.
Elevation 3583 ft.
View from ledge near lean-to on Gore Snow Bowl Trail
Access - State Land from S,E,W. Restricted from the N. Route - Hike up ski trails, or trail from Snow Bowl. Summit - Wooded, firetower, radio tower. Quad - Thirteenth Lake. Mountain Range - No specific Range. Gore Mountain Range. Winter Access - Yes, but things change a little on this one. You can't hike the ski trails becuse of skiers. The trail is technically closed near the top, because it crosses ski trails and follows one at one point. Your best bet is to find a bushwhack route to follow to avoid the ski trails near the top.
Misc. -
Gore is a nice climb, much nicer than the summit. The true top really has no views, and there is a ton of man made junk up there. Of course you've got the ski center, but you've also got an old fire tower turned radio tower with a fence around it to keep people off. There are nice views from the top of the ski trails, but still feels real unnatural.
