#33  -  Mt. Donaldson
Elevation 4140 ft.

Donaldson from Seward

Access -  State Land from N,S,E,W.
Route -  Herdpath from Seward and Emmons, and up Calkins Brook.
Summit -    Wooded, nice views along the ridge.
Quad -   Ampersand Lake.
Mountain Range -  Seward Mountain Range.
Winter Access -  Yes, same as non-winter access. But the Calkins Brook approach is by far the most popular. This route and entire range gets a dumping of snow each year. The broken out trail can be easily lost overnight due to new snow and or high winds. Extreme winter conditions apply to this range, more so than some of the other peaks.
Misc. - This peak was named after Alfred Donaldson a famous author of Adirondack history. Donaldson is nestled in between two other Seward Range peaks-Seward and Emmons. It is neither the highest or the lowest of the range.
