Access - State Land from S,E. AMR land from N,W. Route - Trails from Nippletop and Lake Road. Summit - Wooded with decent views from summit rock. Quad - Mount Marcy. Mountain Range - No specific range. East of the Great Range. Winter Access - Yes, same as non-winter access. This trail to Dial and Nippletop is usually very well trotted by previous hikers. Misc. - Dial was once the name of Nippletop. Where the name Dial originated from what we believe is when Nippletop was named Dial, then got renamed Nippletop the name Dial was just passed down to the lower neighboring peak. Topomap
