Access - State Land from N,S,E,W. Route - Herdpath from Times Square. Summit - Wooded, limited views. Quad - Santanoni Peak. Mountain Range - Santanoni Mountain Range. Winter Access - Yes, same as non-winter access. A very long day indeed. The winter route follows a Bradley Pond inlet, rather than the tight herdpath used in summer. Misc. - Name derived from an old indian saying, meaning "Dismal Wilderness". Well placed name if I do say so myself. There is another approach from Cold Brook along a brook that was once an old road, but signs of it are fading fast. Another place where nature heals itself. Topomap
