Access - State Land from N,S,E,W.
Route - 2 State trails, bushwhack up a trap dike, or a SE approach via a slide.
Summit - Open rock, great views, 360 degree.
Quad - Keene Valley
Mountain Range - No specific range. Located close to the MacIntyre Range, but technically not within.
Winter Access - Yes, same as non-winter access. The Trap Dike makes for a technical winter approach, becoming very popular. Usually hard packed from heavy traffic.
Misc. - Was named for David Colden, a proprietor of a mining company in the area. With four stand alone routes up this peak, be sure to combine two for a memorable loop. All routes can be easily reached from the ADK Loj, so only one car is needed for any loop.
