Access - State Land from the W. Private ownership from N,S,E. Route - Bushwhack from all sides. Summit - Wooded no views. Is on state land Quad - Indian Lake. Mountain Range - Panther Mountain Wilderness. Winter Access - Yes, same as non-winter access. The approach from Wakely Dam just got longer, because the Cedar River Road is closed at the snowmobile parking area. Keep this in mind before you make a long drive up and hope to get all the way back to Wakely dam.

Brown Pond is a nice little gem hidden away in the remoteness surrounding West Canada Lake region. This peak is not named Brown Pond but is referred to as such because of the Pond it lies near. Maps don't have it labeled, it's referred to as unnamed peak (Brown Pond).
