Access - Elk Lake property from N,E. Private access from W,S. Route - Elk Lake Trail from NE. Need to be a guest to use the trail. Summit - Wooded on three sides, small view toward the Dix's. Cement firetower footings. Quad - Mount Marcy. Mountain Range - No specific Range. West of Dix Range. Winter Access - Yes, same as non-winter access. Elk Lake Trail with permission. Broken in only along Marcy Trail section. Misc. - Boreas used to have a fire tower on its summit, but it has long been removed. The main route up the mountain is using an Elk Lake Lodge Trail. The lodge requires hikers to be a guest at the lodge to have the trails available to them. The summit lies on Elk Lake property. Topomap
