Access - State Land from N,S,W. E is through AMR property. Route - Range trail from either direction. Summit - Open with Excellent views. Quad - Keene Valley. Mountain Range - Great Range. Winter Access - Yes, same as non-winter access. Often well-travelled and packed. Misc. - Named after Thomas Armstrong, a lumberman from the Plattsburgh area. Armstrong is nestled right in the middle of the Great Range. Even though it can be climbed all on its own, it usually isn't. It's usually combined with either Gothics or Upper Wolf Jaw or both.
